Today, Buchanan's Young Adult Volunteer, Miss Madison Munoz, left Buchanan to return to USA. Here is a message from Madison:
"Dear Headmistress, teachers, staff, and students of BIGHS,
I'm going to miss all of you so much! You have all been an incredible blessing to me this year. I have enjoyed taking classes with the students--they are all so sweet and smart, and have very bright futures ahead. Thank you for letting me be a part of your life. We might be separated by thousands of miles, but you are always with me in my wonderful memories of my time at Buchanan, and in my prayers. God bless you!
Love,
Madison"

PTA meeting
Buchanan had an exciting day on Friday, July 1st: at there was a PTA meeting, attended by Revenue Minister Sri. Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan. Other notable attendees were current Headmistress, Smt. Aleyamma Thomas, and former Headmistress, Smt. Suja Rei John. The meeting was also attended by PTA members, parents, standard ten students, and teachers.
Many BIGHS students worked hard to make the Buchanan campus look beautiful. Here, the students are making a garland to be hung in the auditorium. |
This is one of the many handmade decorations that Graceamma Teacher designed and made for the auditorium. |
Class leaders helped to keep everyone organized and well-behaved. |
As neared, everyone waited expectantly for the arrival of the Revenue Minister. |
This standard 5 student, Snigdha, was one of many girls who formed a parade with colorful balloons. |
The bandset was in top form and did a great job! |

We thank everyone who attended the PTA meeting and made it a success. We especially thank Revenue Minister Sri. Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan for visiting our school and speaking to the gathering. The Buchanan auditorium was completely full, and it was a day to remember for all who were involved!
